- Serbia is a challenging place to share the gospel. Wars and ethnic violence have left people very cynical and not trusting of anyone or any institutions. A recent youth English camp was a place to learn more about Christ. Pray for these young people to draw closer to God.
- A key leader in one mission organization has a serious disc problem in her spine. Pray for God's healing and doctor's wisdom in treating this since ultimately it may mean delicate surgery. The impact on ministry in the country in her absence will be severely felt. What the enemy means for evil, let us claim for good!
- The insignia on the flag means, “King of Kings” or “Ruler of Rulers.” Pray that the people of Serbia will stop nationalism, pride, postmodernism, and tradition religiosity and start to serve the true King of kings.

Strong links between ethnicity and religion have exacerbated tensions in the Balkans for centuries. Both republics are predominantly Orthodox. Constitutionally, there is freedom of religion but with preferential treatment accorded to the Orthodox Church.
