About Prayer
As Christians, we have the great privilege of praying to our heavenly Father. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, saying “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.”
We are encouraged to pray for others. Jesus said “You have not because you ask not.” As Christians, we can pray and ask God to pour out His Holy Spirit so that people everywhere will come to know God. Prayer is not just asking God for things; it is coming into the presence of God. We can tell Him we love Him; we can thank Him for His many blessings; we can ask forgiveness for our sins; we can pray for others.
Prayer is talking with our heavenly Father. When we accept Christ as our Savior, we become children of God. “As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name.” God invites us as His children to come to Him with all our requests.
When we pray for the spiritual transformation of Europe and Russia, we are praying that people all across Europe and Russia will come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
